The perspective that the artists got on these murals is amazing!
After walking around the town we made our way back to the paseo and had a drink at a chirringuito before making our way back to the apartment. Stopped off at the Gelato Factory in Dona Lola for some ice cream and very nice it was too, before going back to the apartment and decided we would go to La Cala market tomorrow (our last day).
We decided to eat at The Look Inn for our last night, we’d heard good things about it. At first we weren’t sure, the waitress didn’t ask us if we wanted to taste our wine first, just left the bottle on the table but we perused the menu and chose sea bass for me and John had a steak with peppercorn sauce. For once there were plenty of veg (the Spanish don’t do much veg with their meat!) and the steak and my fish were excellent. Dessert was slightly disappointing, John’s Belgian chocolate mousse was shop bought but my cheesecake was homemade and delish! Had a long chat with Karen and Mark who own The Look Inn, they’ve had a lot of illness over the last few years between them and their families and how they’ve managed to keep going is amazing. Jay was also there with his lovely family and we chatted with him before going back into Oscars for the last time, checked in for our flights whilst we were there and so our journey is coming to an end 😦 But is it?
